ABOUT US

Benah was born and raised in the town of Ewa Beach, on the island of Oahu. Benah grew up in a household with her parents and grandmother where the values of respect, honor and compassion shaped her strong beliefs about caring for the elderly. For this reason, she successfully completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Seattle University. She has 14+ years of experience as a medical-surgical nurse at The Queen’s Medical Center. Caring for her father who had suffered a stroke solidified her decision to pursue her dream of starting a care home to be able to provide that same care to those in the community. As the primary caregiver of Lanihale she provides the expertise and passion for quality elderly care in Hawaii.  

 

        Her staff of carefully chosen certified nurse aids and RN's reflect the same strong beliefs and values that have guided her life's work. With the combined experience of working in the hospital setting, nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, and home care setting. Benah Hussey and her team provide a home away from home for the elderly who are looking for a special place in which to thrive and enjoy community living in a safe and peaceful home.
